    Lipscomb University's Jazz Band and Jazz Vocal Ensemble will present a fall concert Thursday, Dec. 3, in Shamblin Theatre on the Lipscomb campus. This concert is free and open to the public. Selections for the concert include: "Snowfall", by Ruth & Claudie Thornhill, "The Way You Look Tonight", by Dorothy Fields & Jerome Kern, "It Don't Mean A Thing", by Duke Ellington & Irving Mills, and "Let's Do It (Let's Fall in Love)", by Cole Porter. The Jazz Vocal Ensemble is a quintet of mixed vocals (two sopranos, alto, tenor and bass) which performs in a wide variety of jazz vocal styles. The vocal ensemble is directed by Dr. Gary P. Wilson, professor of music at Lipscomb. The 18-member University Jazz Band plays a variety of styles including traditional big band swing, hard bop, gospel, Latin, West Coast and ballads, as performed by many of the famous jazz artists throughout history. The Jazz Band is directed by Dr. Steve Rhodes, professor of music.
