The Missouri-born Chris Janson has electrified Nashville's country music scene. In fact, it only took two days at a local Nashville bar to incite a wave of interest from country music's biggest record labels. It could be his intense and vocally stunning performances, his remarkable ability to play the harmonica, or the depth of his songs, but there is something remarkable about this 21 year-old phenomenon. Nashville's critics been buzzing with excitement about this emerging star, and have even likened him to a combination of Mick Jagger and Hank Williams Sr. Chris readily acknowledges his influences, but he has a confidence in his identity that transcends his age.
Canadian born, Phil O'Donnell, came to the Nashville scene several years ago and signed with legendary writers, Ed Bruce, Neal McCoy, and Chalee Tennison. At that time, he also teamed with the then newcomer, Craig Morgan. Together they penned some amazing tunes that have reached Billboard's country music charts. The Craig Morgan project became even more spectacular when the 2005 hit song “That’s What I Love About Sundays” (produced but not written by O’Donnell) became the first independent (Broken Bow Records) release to reach #1 on the Billboard Country Charts since The Kendalls 1977 hit, Heaven’s Just A Sin Away. The Craig Morgan hit was also named the Most Played Song of 2005, by both Billboard and Radio & Records.
A native of Lake Jackson, TX, Cole Degges entered the music business as a songwriter when his song "Live Those Songs" landed on Kenny Chesney's 2002 release No Shoes, No Shirt, No Problems. With his brother Shade on bass, Florida native Brian Hayes on drums, and another set of brothers from Shreveport, LA -- guitarist David and keyboardist Jimmy Wallace -- Cole formed the group Cole Degges and The Lonesome and signed with the Columbia Nashville label in 2006. Their self-titled debut is out and receiving rave reviews.
