Don Poythress, from Meridian, MS, has been in Nashville for 21 years as a performer at Opryland, Grand Ole Opry, and Louisiana Hayride. He wrote the hauntingly beautiful “You Remain” recorded by Willie Nelson and Bonnie Raitt, and “The Promise,” a #1 by the Martins and won a Dove award in 2005. Don is currently w/ Extreme Writer’s Group and Integrity Music.
