Cumberland University Presents Sylvia

The Alpha Psi Omega Theatre Honor Society of Cumberland University proudly presents the production of Sylvia by A.R. Gurney. Sylvia is a comedy about a dog, the couple that adopts her, and the drama that results. Originally performed at Stage I of the Manhattan Theatre Club, Sylvia’s original cast included Sarah Jessica Parker, Blythe Danner, and Charles Kimbrough where the production received Drama Desk Award nominations for Outstanding Play, Outstanding Actress in a Play, and Outstanding Costume Design.
Under the debut direction of Miss Charley Hodge, Sylvia’s talent features Cumberland University students Chelsie Hochradel as Sylvia, Nicholas Williams as Greg, Lillian Davis as Kate, and Martin Cooper as Tom, Phyllis, and Leslie.
Note: The production will be held at the June and Bill Heydel Fine Arts Center at Cumberland University. Donations will be gladly accepted to support the Theatre Program at Cumberland University.
