Pattern and Beat: New Works by Michael McBride

Renowned Tennessee artist Michael McBride offers viewers a new kaleidoscope effect in his recent works which focus primarily on musical themes. McBride's long career as a prominent painter has earned him several noted recognitions including The Tennessean's Millennium Collection selection, inclusion in an exhibition exchange program with the city of Belfast, Ireland, and as artist-in-residence for the Master Works Museum of Bermuda Art in Bermuda. His art has been featured on major TV sitcoms and is included in numerous private and public collections, both nationally and internationally. In the past he has served as the curator for The Hiram Van Gordon Memorial Gallery and is currently a full time instructor of art at Tennessee State University. He is especially well known in the mid-state for his various community-based public works of art.
