Sisters Tegan Quin and Sara Quin were born in Calgary, Alberta, Canada and began playing music together in high school. They were signed by Elliot Roberts and Neil Young to Vapor Records in 2000 and are now signed to Vapor/Sire/Warner Bros. Tegan and Sara’s sixth studio album – Sainthood – addresses secular themes of devotion, delusion and exemplary behavior in the pursuit of love and relationships. Inspired by emotional longing and the quiet actions we hope may be noticed by the objects of our affection, Sainthood is about obsession with romantic ideals.

      Fantastic opening acts, Holly Miranda and Steel Train .. who knew we were going to a festival! Tegan and Sarah were spot on all night. The lightening design and sound engineering was steller. Music... Expand

      Fantastic opening acts, Holly Miranda and Steel Train .. who knew we were going to a festival! Tegan and Sarah were spot on all night. The lightening design and sound engineering was steller. Music sounds it's best at The Ryman. The awkward thing was the crazy crowd. With the 2 opening acts there was nearly 1 1/2 hours before T&S and most of the crowd seemed to have been drinking beer that entire time. A strange pattern of screaming inbetween songs and cheering at what didn't make since to cheer at, insued. It made Nashville's Gen Y look silly and humored the band. I loved watching the sociology of the night almost as much as listening to the music. Best take away: Tegan & Sara are best when turned up loudly, and with beer. Collapse
