NJW's newest series returns in February with an appearance by vocalist Dara Tucker and her band. The series, hosted by Rahsaan Barber, is designed to present new, original, and cutting edge jazz that may not have been heard before in the Jazz Cave.

Borrowing from her gospel roots, her love for pop and jazz standards, and American Folk music, Tucker has managed to fuse these elements into a style that can best be described as Urban Singer-Songwriter. With subtly soulful undertones, she seeks to convey her pensive, searching, but always-hopeful outlook on life through her music. Based in Nashville, Dara performs at various venues throughout the area.
