Tennessee History Day is the state affiliate of the National History Day competition. Four preliminary district competitions take place in in West Tennessee, Middle Tennessee, East Tennessee, and Southeast Tennessee in February and March culminating with the state level competition in April. State-level winners move on to the National History Day competition in June. History Day is a year-long curriculum enhancement program that engages students in grades 6-12 in the process if discovery and interpretation of historical topics.
