Traditional American bluegrass music will take center stage at Lipscomb University when its inaugural Music from the Mountain concert debuts, honoring Mother Maybelle Carter of The Carter Family. Music from the Mountain: An Evening Honoring Mother Maybelle Carter which will feature several bluegrass and country legends including Del McCoury, Tom T. Hall, The Whites and the Gatlin Brothers and will be emceed by Larry Gatlin. The Carter Family III, made up of John Carter Cash, Laura Cash and Dale Jett, will perform that evening along with other special guests including performer Heather Berry.
Proceeds from the concert will benefit the Nashville Rescue Mission. A signed commemorative Hatch Show Print will be provided with the purchase of $50 tickets.
