What could be more fun than gathering with others in the community for a run in support a great cause? For 9 years, SAC has hosted Walk in Their Shoes, its annual awareness event. What started as a walk down Lindsley Avenue with less than 100 people has evolved into a community-wide event that draws almost 1,000 individuals from all over Middle Tennessee to run or walk in support of sexual assault survivors.

This year, Walk in Their Shoes will be much different than in years past. In partnership with the Nashville Striders, SAC is going to hold a 5k run prior to the one-mile celebration walk. A marching band will lead the celebration walk. Join us in building awareness about sexual assault in our community. As a participant, you will get to share in the many festivities, with give-aways and activities such as: T-shirts Music Refreshments Guest speakers Community booths A display of SAC's clothesline project, part of an international effort to honor victims of violence using their own artwork.

Note: This is a rain or shine event. It will be held at SAC.
