    Lipscomb University’s Music Department presents the Faculty Piano Trio, Carolyn Wann Bailey, violin; Sari Reist, cello; Jerome Reed, piano, on Sunday, Feb, 28 at 3 p.m. in Ward Hall. The group will perform trios by Brahms and Ravel.

    Bailey is principal second violin with The Nashville Symphony and an adjunct faculty member at Lipscomb. She is an active studio musician and holds both bachelors and masters degrees in violin performance from the Cleveland Institute of Music. She has performed with the North Carolina Symphony, the Wheeling Symphony (as concertmaster), the Akron Symphony, the Ohio Chamber Orchestra, the Jacksonville Symphony and the Spoleto Festival.

    Reist teaches at Lipscomb and is assistant principal cello with Orchestra Nashville. She performs regularly with some of Nashville’s finest musicians and ensembles on stage and in the recording studio. Reist received her bachelors of music degree in cello performance from San Francisco Conservatory of Music and has taught cello at Mannes College of Music, The Children’s’ Orchestra of New York and the Governors School for the Arts in Tennessee.

    Reed, professor of music at Lipscomb, provides private piano and composition lessons and coaches the University String Ensemble. He is the director of the music division of the Governor's School for the Arts in Tennessee, past president of the Southern Division of the Music Teachers National Association and former music critic for the Tennessean.
