2nd Annual Nashville Cherry Blossom Festival

The 2nd Annual Nashville Cherry Blossom Festival will be held on Saturday, March 27 from 10:00am-4:00pm at Public Square. The day will kick-off with the 1st Annual Cherry Blossom Walk at 9:00am followed by a day of Japanese cultural demonstrations, performances and more! The dynamic drumming group Kaminari Taiko will return to Nashville for a captivating concert on the main stage. Admission to the festival is free and open to the public.

The mission of the Nashville Cherry Blossom Festival Committee is to plant 1,000 cherry trees by planting 100 trees every spring over 10 years. These cherry trees will not only beautify Nashville’s landscape, but also provide a backdrop for the annual Nashville Cherry Blossom Festival.

In 2009, in addition to successfully planting the first 100 cherry trees , a planting ceremony and taiko performance were held at the Public Square. This year we aim to plant 100 more trees.
