The Choirs of Nashville School of the Arts and Music City Youth Orchestra presents: A Spring Concert. This special concert brings together two of Nashville's most highly acclaimed music programs, combining forces for an evening of beautiful and inspiring music.

Under the direction of Michael Graham, the choral music department at Nashville School of the Arts guides young singers into the world of choral music classics, solo art songs and contemporary vocal genres. Mr. Graham strives to create a lasting devotion to music in diverse musical ensembles, including an Early Music Consort, Concert Choir and Madrigal Singers. The emphasis in the program is on reading, healthy vocal production, and the experience of exploring the beauty of creations by musical geniuses. The choral ensembles of NSA have won seven "Best Ensemble" awards in as many states in adjudicated festivals. The program's approach stresses patient, consistent work towards a goal musical excellence. It is a model for success in whatever field the student chooses to explore in life.

Founded by ten students in 2007, Music City Youth Orchestra is now a 40-member string orchestra rehearsing its third season. Nashville's eclectic youth orchestra is directed by veteran music educator and NSA faculty member Walter Bitner and renowned electric violinist Tracy Silverman serves as the group's artist in residence. MCYO's students include some of the most talented and accomplished young string musicians in Tennessee, and many have won honors for their musicianship including acceptance to and leadership at Tennessee Mid-State and All-State Orchestras, String Crossings at Belmont University, and the Tennessee Governor's School for the Arts.
