    F. Luis Mora (1874 – 1940) was a Hispanic American figure painter, working in watercolor, oil, and tempera. He also produced drawings done in pen & ink and graphite. He is most known for his depictions of american life in the early 1900’s.

    F. Luis Mora had numerous exhibits of his work throughout the United States in museums and galleries. His work is in the collections of over 30 museums including the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New Yrok, the Phoenix Art Museum the National Gallery of Canada in Ottawa, and our own Customs House Museum. Our collection of little drawings was given by Tom Braumbough in 1986. We will be exhibiting a selection of these in the Orgain Gallery for the month of March.

Helpful Information: Children under age 14 must be accompanied by an adult at all times and in all areas of the Museum. Free parking for Museum visitors is available behind the Museum at the top of the hill off South Second Street. Sundays are free for everyone!
