    On March 6th, members of the Clarksville Tree Board will show us how to “green up” for spring. This annual Arbor Day partnership provides information about selecting and growing trees and includes craftsand other activites for children and their adults.

    Two 45-minute programs, presented at 10:15am and 11:15am, will offer the following topics:

    • Inside a Tree: Understanding How Trees Work
    • Green Infrastructure: Healthy Trees, Healthy Communities
    • Greening Up: Guidelines for Tree Selection and Care

    Those attending any of the above presentations will receive a free tree seedling. Activities for children and their adults will be available in the cafe’ from 10:00am-4:00pm.

    The museum would like to thank the members of the Tree Board for their support in this event, and to the presenters: Clint Patterson, Clarksville City Forester; Tracy Jackson, certified arborist and local landscape designer; and Dr. Dwayne Estes, A.P.S.U. Assistant Professor of Biology. 

    Helpful Information: Children under age 14 must be accompanied by an adult at all times and in all areas of the Museum. Free parking for Museum visitors is available behind the Museum at the top of the hill off South Second Street. Sundays are free for everyone!
