Watkins College of Art, Design & Film’s Artist Lecture Series is pleased to invite the public to a lecture in the campus theatre by artist Wayne White on Friday, March 26 at Watkins. Mr. White will be available for a book-signing/autograph session following the lecture. Born in Chattanooga, TN, Wayne White graduated from MTSU. He is a three-time Emmy winner for his set and puppet designs for Pee-wee’s Playhouse. The L.A.-based artist art directed two seminal music videos, Peter Gabriel’s “Big Time” and Smashing Pumpkins’ “Tonight, Tonight,” and has exhibited paintings and sculptures internationally. A monograph of White’s 30 year career, “Maybe Now I’ll Get The Respect I So Richly Deserve,” edited by Todd Oldham, was recently published by Ammo Books.
