    The Americana Music Association Presents: Live At The Bluebird Café with The JD Souther Trio featuring Jerry Navarro and Chris Walters.

    One of the principal architects of the Southern California country-rock sound, Souther famously played a key role in the formation of the Eagles and co-wrote their hits "Heartache Tonight," "Victim of Love," "New Kid In Town," and "Best of My Love," as well as writing Linda Ronstadt's classics "Faithless Love," "Simple Man, Simple Dream," and "Prisoner in Disguise."

    As an artist the Texas-raised singer charted two Top 10 hits with "You're Only Lonely," and "Her Town Too," a duet with James Taylor. Recently honored by ASCAP with the prestigious Golden Note Award, Souther, after a 25-year break from recording, released the critically acclaimed If The World Was You in 2008. Described by the Philadelphia Daily News as “shimmering and percussive, with lyrics at turns tough-nosed and tender, vividly cinematic and illusively mysterious,” the album further demonstrates Souther’s unique and innovative style exemplified by the great Americana artists of today.
