Me and John Wayne, a new band formed in Nashville, is debuting at French Quarter Café in East Nashville.. Band co-founder and drummer, Jen Hoeft, smiles while saying, “This music is sexy, surfy, swingy, martini music. It combines Twang, Rockabilly and Jazz and is great to dance to or drink to…or both.” Wayne Avers, the band’s blazing guitar player, adds, “This is instrumental music that takes you trippin' thru the past. It’s the kind of music that James Bond would love…the cutting edge of retro-cool." John Billings, the band’s funky bass player, comments, “This show is for everyone – dancers, martini lovers, song fans, drinkers and gumbo lovers. It promises to be a blast!” Me and John Wayne is made up of three musicians – Jen Hoeft, John Billings and Wayne Avers.
