This is a five-week workshop led by award-winning author, poet, essayist, and educator Rabbi Rami Shapiro. The workshop will be based on Rabbi Rami’s book, "Recovery – the Sacred Art: The Twelve Steps as Spiritual Practice." Participants will examine 12 steps that can take us to a place where we no longer need to seek control of life, relationships, events, and actions. The workshop encourages participants to recognize that life is inherently unmanageable, and that if we seek to control it we are captive to exhaustion, depression and addiction. If we learn to navigate it by living with justice, compassion, and humility, we are set free. These 12 steps are a powerful set of spiritual tools that can help each of us live free from compulsive attachment.

Please note: This is not a twelve-step meeting, and is not focused on any specific addiction.
