“Beauty in the Academy: Faith, Scholarship & the Arts” is the 2010 theme for this annual interdisciplinary lecture series exploring the intersection between faith and various academic disciplines. Other public conference activities open to the public include a performance of Doubt, June 4-June 6, and a Tokens performances on June 4. Past conference speakers have included Marilynne Robinson, Barbara Brown Taylor, Jim Wallis, Billy Collins and former Sen. Bill Frist.
Keynote Speakers include Doubt playwright and director, John Patrick Shanley; Dana Gioia, the immediate past chairman of the National Endowment for the Arts; and James Elkins, a leading national art critic.
