Titans 'Play 60' Challenge

Play 60 is the campaign initiative of the NFL to promote health and fitness for the next generation by encouraging 60 minutes of active play each day. On June 6th the Tennessee Titans are joining forces with the Nashville Zoo for a truly “wild” day of fun and active play!

Titans players will be on hand encouraging kids through a series of physical drills such as obstacle courses, agility drills, passing drills and much more. Also on hand will be the Nashville Zoo docent crew with animal related activity games and educational stations illustrating how and why health and fitness are the keys to the survival of the fittest. In addition to these fun games there will be a slew of other activities and entertainment including the Titans cheerleaders, T-Rac, & Twiga the Giraffe. These low impact activity games are geared for children ages 3-14 and are part of the Tennessee Titans efforts to promote physical well being as a part of the NFL’s Play 60 initiative.

The Titans “Play 60” initiative encourages youth to get at least sixty minutes of physical activity or play per day in effort to fight childhood obesity. Partnerships with local non-profit organizations, like Nashville Zoo, have enhanced this mission and opportunity to reach out to America’s youth. Since the NFL’s Play 60 inception, the NFL has committed over $100 million to youth health and fitness through programming, media time for public service announcements and grants from Titans Owner K.S. “Bud” Adams’ Jr., and his fellow NFL owners and players.
