In Their Own Words: Reflections of the Nashville Sit-Ins

The State Museum will host a panel discussion, In Their Own Words: Reflections of the Nashville Sit-Ins with participants of those sit-ins which began 50 years ago. The panel discussion will be held at the museum Saturday, April 17.
Members of the Nashville Student Movement Legacy Foundation will participate in the discussion, which will be narrated by TSM Curator Graham Perry, who organized the museum's current exhibition, We Shall Not Be Moved: The 50th Anniversary of Tennessee's Sit-Ins. Panelists scheduled to participate include Dr. Allen Cason, Jr., Frankie Henry, King Hollands, Kwame Lillard, and Norma Simpson. Audience members will also be invited to ask questions. Visitors may visit the exhibit, We Shall Not Be Moved: The 50th Anniversary of Tennessee's Civil Rights Sit-Ins, before or after the panel discussion.
