When does a ballet become larger than life? When Nashville Ballet, the Nashville Symphony, directed by Ballet Music Director Paul Gambill, the Nashville Symphony Chorus, directed by Dr. George Mabry, the Nashville Children's Choir, and vocalists join forces to present the encore performance of the family-friendly Carmina Burana!

The Bravos! were so overwhelming when Paul Vasterling's amazing production debuted in 2009, and the call for additional performances was so great, that we've decided to respond to popular demand and present Carmina Burana as the finale of our 2010/2011 season. Here's the opportunity to bring friends who were not able to be in the audience at the premiere. The Nashville Symphony Orchestra and Chorus, as well as the Nashville Children's Choir and vocal soloists provide the musical fireworks that make this one of the largest productions to enliven the Jackson Hall stage. Don't miss this positively electrifying experience!

Salvatore Aiello’s sensual The Afternoon of a Faun, set to the music of Claude Debussy, will open this performance.
