Born and raised in Opp, a very small town in south Alabama,Martin McDaniel learned at a very young age his talent was singing. Following in his father's footsteps, who played the drums, Martin picked up the guitar at age 15 and claimed the title "musician". After teaming up with good friends who shared the same passion, Martin formed a band and played gigs from mid-state, Alabama to the Florida panhandle for several years. At age 20, and with his family's blessings, Martin decided it was time to take it a step further and pack his bags to move to Nashville, Tennessee and pursue his dream. After being in Nashville for only 2 months, Martin started picking up work and soon started playing on Nashville's famous, Lower Broadway. His band consists of another Opp native and lifelong friend, Drew Hassell, along with other guys he has met here in Nashville. Mostly lined with songs he wrote or co-wrote himself, Martin is about to release his first album.
