TOKENS: Deluge, Hope, and Patience

Add Review/Comment
While the people of Middle Tennessee continue to wade through the wreckage wrought by our recent devastating floods, TOKENS, Nashville’s new old-time radio show, returns with a special show dedicated to a community still rising to its feet. Rather than another benefit concert or a flood-fundraiser, TOKENS: “Deluge, Hope, and Patience” will instead offer a space of reflection, lament, and hope in the wake of the flood’s devastation. Featuring performances by Over the Rhine, Jill Phillips, Andy Gullahorn, and Buddy Greene, together with a healthy dose of laughter and contemplation from the Tokens Radio Players, host Lee C. Camp, and other special guests, “Deluge, Hope, and Patience” will give Middle Tennesseans an opportunity to reflect, laugh, and sing their way toward healing and hope -- all while enjoying some of the best musicians, comics, and thinkers Nashville has to offer. To that end, TOKENS is formally inviting -- completely free of charge -- anyone made victim by the flood, as well as anyone who worked to bring relief to those affected. Any who fit either of these categories (as well as anyone else wishing to purchase tickets) can call the Lipscomb University Box Office (615.966.7075) to reserve their seats today.
