The 44th Annual CMA Awards

Country Music's Biggest Night! The 44th Annual CMA Awards will be broadcast live on Wednesday, November 10 on the ABC Television Network from the Bridgestone Arena in Nashville. The event, hosted by Country superstars Brad Paisley and Carrie Underwood, will recognize and celebrate the best and brightest performers, songwriters, record producers and music video directors. Slated to perform at the show are: Dierks Bentley, Kenny Chesney, Lady Antebellum, Miranda Lambert, Brad Paisley, making her Country Music debut Gwyneth Paltrow with Vince Gill, Rascal Flatts, Reba, Kid Rock, Blake Shelton, George Strait, Sugarland, Taylor Swift, Carrie Underwood, Keith Urban, and the pairing of Zac Brown Band with Alan Jackson, and Jason Aldean with Kelly Clarkson. In celebration of Loretta Lynn's 50th anniversary in the music business, Sheryl Crow and Miranda Lambert will perform together in a tribute to the legendary singer/songwriter on "The 44th Annual CMA Awards." Lambert and Crow will perform Lynn's classic signature song, "Coal Miner's Daughter."

Presenters for the awards show are:  Martina McBride, JoAnna Garcia (ABC's "Better With You"), Ty Pennington (ABC's "Extreme Makeover: Home Edition"), The Band Perry, Luke Bryan, Easton Corbin, Little Big Town, Tim McGraw, Jerrod Niemann, Kellie Pickler, LeAnn Rimes, Darius Rucker, The Band Perry, Chris Young, and NASCAR champion Jeff Gordon.

The CMA Awards nominees and winners are determined by the 6,000 industry professional members of CMA, which was the first trade organization formed to promote an individual genre of music in 1958. A total of 12 CMA Awards in the following categories are presented: Entertainer of the Year, Single of the Year, Album of the Year, Song of the Year, Female Vocalist of the Year, Male Vocalist of the Year, Vocal Group of the Year, Vocal Duo of the Year, Musical Event of the Year, Musician of the Year, Music Video of the Year and New Artist of the Year (formerly known as the Horizon Award).

      I would love to be at the CMA Awards because it is special to be there to see the stars to receive their awards in person for a job well done. I love country music!!!!

      I have watched the CMA Awards for many years on TV and would love the opportunity to see it live. I visit Tootsie's in Nashville every chance I get because of the live music. My mom & dad had a band... Expand

      I have watched the CMA Awards for many years on TV and would love the opportunity to see it live. I visit Tootsie's in Nashville every chance I get because of the live music. My mom & dad had a band playing right in our living room the night she went into labor with me. I suppose I began my life's journey with a live band and haven't lost the desire to be amongst the music, the entertainers would most certainly be an awesome bonus. Keep on singing! Collapse
