Gardening 101: Planting

Love the idea of having a garden, but don’t know where to start? Beginning with plant basics and covering topics such as soil and mulch, watering and fertilizing, and pruning and pest control – this class will teach you all you need to know to keep your garden looking great.

Proper planting is the first step in establishing a successful garden. Learn how to prepare your site, select plants, and use specific planting techniques for perennials, ground covers, trees and shrubs. A portion of this workshop will take place in the garden, so please dress for the weather.
