    Mr. Chambliss, who spent more than three decades in litigation, was named "America's Top Black Lawyers" in Black Enterprise magazine. Active in the Memphis community, he served on the board of the Girls Club of Memphis, as a trustee for the Miles College School of Law, on the board for the Memphis Chapter of the American Red Cross, past president of the Memphis Bar Association, and was on the board of trustees for LeMonyne-Owen College for more than 12 years.
