October 21, 2010
Add Review/Comment
A moment’s difference….and centuries of convergence. Violist Kathryn Plummer explores J.S. Bach’s urgent communication with the future from the 18th century along with contemporary composer György Kurtag’s adventurous journeys into the terrains of musical memory. By interweaving movements of Bach’s Unaccompanied Suites with Kurtag’s Signs, Games and Messages for Viola, Plummer’s intriguing program is like a reunion of old friends who have never met! Join the three of them in an imaginative musical conversation about dance, play and the meaning of harmony in times of both strife and concord…Worlds apart, but worlds together. This event will be filmed for later broadcast on WNPT-2 Television. Sponsored by Nissan North America, Inc.
