TOKENS: “On Not Taking Yourself Too (Darn) Seriously”
September 14, 2010
Antsy McClain, Julie Lee, Buddy Greene, and local author David Dark to contemplate the virtues of humility and humor in a culture of busyness at Nashville's new old-time radio show, TOKENS.
How do we maintain a sense of humor in light of the tragedies that we see everywhere around us? Certainly retreat is no solution, but an exercise in humility just may be. To that end, TOKENS, Nashville’s new old-time radio show, presents “On Not Taking Yourself Too (Darn) Seriously”. Taking place on September 14th at 7:30 p.m. on the Maybelle Carter Memorial Stage in Alumni Auditorium on the campus of Lipscomb University, the show will feature interludes from all-star house band the Most Outstanding Horeb Mountain Boys, comedy from the Tokens Radio Players, special performances by songwriters Antsy McClain, Julie Lee, and Buddy Greene, an interview with local author David Dark (The Sacredness of Questioning Everything), and much more.
