    Russia’s nomination for the Best Foreign Language Film Oscar in 2010, Ward No. 6 premiered at the 2009 Moscow International Film Festival, where its leading actor received the award for Best Actor. Based on Anton Chekhov’s 1892 novella, the film tells the story of Doctor Ragin, who works at a provincial psychiatric clinic and ultimately ends up among his patients in his own asylum. Set in contemporary Russia, this psychological drama showcases how easy it is to become what we fear most. Russian with English subtitles. Not Rated. 83 mins. Funding provided in part by the Russian, Germanic and Slavic Languages Department.
