An Evening With Joe Bonamassa

Award-winning blues rock star, guitar hero and singer-songwriter Joe Bonamassa and his ace touring band will perform in concert at TPAC's Polk Theater. The one-night-only show is in support of his album Black Rock, which was released on Bonamassa's J&R Adventures label in March 2010 debuted at #1 on Billboard's Blues Albums Chart and #38 on Billboard's Top 200 Chart, a huge leap from 2009's The Ballad of John Henry which debuted at #136 on the Top 200. The tenth full-length solo release and eighth studio album of his career, the disc marks Bonamassa's sixth collaboration with Kevin Shirley (Led Zeppelin, Black Crowes, Aerosmith) as producer. Recorded at Black Rock Studios in Santorini, Greece, the album features thirteen tracks split between Bonamassa originals and selections by songwriters including Bobby Parker, John Hiatt, Leonard Cohen, Jeff Beck, Otis Rush, Willie Nelson, James Clark and Blind Boy Fuller. It also includes a duet with B.B. King.

A child prodigy, Bonamassa opened shows at age 12 for blues legend B.B. King, who said after first seeing him play, "This kid's potential is unbelievable ... He's one of a kind."
