On Saturday, September 25th, join us for an unforgettable event as we honor our wounded heroes with a celebratory ride around Nashville! Soldier Ride provides wounded warriors the opportunity to reclaim their confidence and strength through the exhilaration of cycling. These rides also raise awareness for the WWP mission and our many important programs designed to serve our injured and their families.

This year’s Soldier Ride is being held in the memory of Father, Husband, and Soldier, Master Sergeant James “Tre” Ponder from Franklin. Tre made the ultimate sacrifice for his Brothers in Arms on a rescue mission in Eastern Afghanistan on June 28, 2005. He was killed when his MD-47 helicopter was shot down by enemy fire on its way to rescue a Navy SEAL team in distress. Tre was a member of the Army’s 160th Special Operations Aviation Regiment. Tre’s commitment to his country was equaled only by his devotion to his family, including his beautiful wife Leslie and their two daughters, Samantha and Elizabeth. Cyclists of all levels are welcome!
