    The now world-famous and critically acclaimed Ying Quartet, and one of this year’s Roy Acuff Chairs of Excellence, first came to professional prominence in the early 1990s during their years as resident quartet of Jesup, Iowa, a farm town of 2,000 people. Playing before audiences of six to six hundred in homes, schools, churches, and banks, the Quartet had its first opportunities to enable music and creative endeavor to become an integral part of community life. Don’t miss this audience-friendly program of chamber music performed at the highest level. Their much heralded collaboration with Turtle Island Quartet, “Four +4” won a 2005 Grammy Award.

    This event takes place in the Concert Hall.
