The 2010 mid-term elections are being viewed as a referendum on the Obama Presidency. Decide for yourself as we view key races and the national mood on issues that may determine the fate of the President and the Democratic leadership in Congress. Studying past mid-terms and current campaigns, we will focus on communication and leadership to separate fact from fiction in campaign, White House and Congressional messages. The Lifelong Learning program offers people of retirement and semi-retirement age an opportunity to expand knowledge and explore new ideas in an informal, noncompetitive environment.

Instructor: Linda Schacht, Lipscomb University associate professor of communication and political science
