Now in its 12th year, our New Works Lab is a chance to hear the first reading of new plays by local playwrights. This year we will be reading a new rock opera by Kat Brock and new drama by Diane DiIanni. Join us to watch new plays come to life for the very first time.

    ROARING 20s by Kat Broc
Feeling lost after the death of her father, musician LOUIE struggles with the ghosts of growing up. Playing music, picking fights and testing loyalties with friends MOOSE, CASS and DAVE; Louie navigates the confusing and painful dichotomies of human nature through intense sometimes-gentle, sometimes-raucous song. ROARIN' TWENTIES is a rock opera that will take you on a roller-coaster of self-destruction, connection and redemption.

    PARCEL by Diane DiIanni
When ambition, desire, and parenting collide, it is mighty hard to tell whose team you’re on. That is what real estate attorney SIMONE STELLINA discovers when she, unwittingly, is pulled into an unusual litigation with KURT WYLE, a charming litigation attorney and competitive fencer, and GARRISON GREY, a senior attorney and former federal judge with undisclosed problems of both a professional and personal nature. PARCEL is a two-act play about rules, violations, and betrayal in the workplace.
