    The Tennessee Performing Arts Center is introducing a fun and educational wine, spirits and beer tasting series, sponsored by Brown-Forman and the Lipman companies.

    During The Art of series, local experts will guide two-hour tastings, highlighting the history, use, and delicate, subtle flavors of wines and spirits. The series includes “The Art of Jack Daniel’s” on Tuesday, October 12, “The Art of Cordials” on Tuesday, December 7, “The Art of Boxed Wine” on Thursday, February 10, and “The Art of Beer” on Thursday, April 7.

    "The Art of Jack Daniel's" on Tuesday, October 12 will include the world-famous Tennessee family of brands. The tasting experience will be led by Lynne Tolley, an official taste tester for the Jack Daniel Distillery, great-grandniece of Jack Daniel, and proprietress of Lynchburg's most famous restaurant, the famous Miss Mary Bobo's Boarding House in Lynchburg. An acknowledged cooking authority, Tolley has written several cookbooks including Jack Daniel's The Spirit of Tennessee Cookbook and Cooking with Jack.
