    Come sail away as Team Green embarks on a sailing adventure! Spend a day at the helm as we learn the basics of sailing instruction and jargon, then man the wheel and learn the ropes. Complete your Intro to Sailing with a friendly competition on the water.

    Backup Date: Saturday, October 23rd. You must mark this date as your back up date if you register for this event. In case of low winds, storms or low registration, this event will be postponed for the backup date. Your trip leader will email you prior to the event to let you know if the trip is a go as scheduled or if it needs to be postponed.

    ITINERARY:
    11:30-12:00pm Lite Lunch
    12:00pm- 12:30pm A brief classroom session about sailboats and sailing
    12:30pm- 1:00pm On-the-water orientation with skippers
    1:00pm- 5:00pm Training including tiller-time and learning the ropes
    4:00pm- 5:00pm Possible short competitive event (sailboat race) between the participating boat crews.
    5:00pm-? Refreshments and debriefing
