Add Review/Comment
Lipscomb’s Jazz Band, directed by Steve Rhodes, and the Vocal Jazz Ensemble, directed by Gary Wilson, present a concert of jazz standards and favorites. This year’s Vocal Jazz Ensemble is a men's quartet featuring students Kirk Averitt, Will Bess, Seth Jones and John McMeen.
The jazz ensembles will perform: “Song for You,” familiar to fans of Michael Buble’s first CD; “Blue World,” originally recorded by The Four Freshmen in the 1950’s; “Knock Me a Kiss,” composed by jazz great Louis Jordan; “Gotta Be This or That” and “Undecided,” two pop songs from the 1950’s; and “Choo Choo Ch'Boogie,” a jazz standard.
