This performance is part of “A Weekend with Stewart Gordon,” presented by the Nashville Area Music Teachers Association. Gordon -- a pianist, composer and author -- will present a recital of works by Beethoven, Debussy, Rachmaninoff, and Gordon.

Stewart Gordon is currently Professor of Keyboard Studies at the Thornton School of Music of the University of Southern California. He has written music for more than thirty musical theater and film projects. As a pianist he has toured North American, Europe, Asia, and the Middle East. His recordings include the complete Rachmaninoff Preludes, as well as works by Schubert, Schumann, Beethoven, and the Portuguese composer Freitas-Branco.
