    The Edna Thomas lecture series features Dr. Christin Carter discussing the topic of Raising Happiness: 10 simple steps for More Joyful Kids and Happier Parents.

    What do we wish most for our children?     Next to being healthy, we want them to be happy, of course. Fortunately, a wide array of scientific studies show that happiness is a learned behavior, a muscle that we can help our children build and maintain. Drawing on psychology, sociology, and neuroscience - and using her own chaotic and often hilarious real world adventures as a mom to demonstrate do’s and dont's in action - Carter will give you simple and fun practices for building a happier family Christine Carter, Ph.D., is a happiness expert best known for her science-based parenting advice. A sociologist at U.C. Berkeley’s Greater Good Science Center Happiness: 10 Simple Steps for More Joyful Kids and Happier Parents, and she teaches her parenting classes to a global audience online.
