Add Review/Comment
A free screening of the film “Power of Community: How Cuba Survived Peak Oil” will be shown at Lipscomb University’s Swang Center on Thursday, October 21. A discussion will follow the film.
This fascinating and empowering documentary shows how communities pulled together, created solutions, and ultimately thrived when the collapse of the Soviet Union drastically cut Cuba’s food and oil imports. “The Power of Community” offers an inspiring vision of hope.
The screening is sponsored by Transition Nashville, an organization to promote resilience and sustainability in Nashville. Transition Nashville bases its work on the Transition Towns model developed by Rob Hopkins.
