Kell Black is a professor of art at Austin Peay State University in Clarksville, Tennessee. He has exhibited widely garnering many awards and honors and has published the book, Paper New York. As an eminent paper engineer, Sarratt Gallery is thrilled to be exhibiting a new work by Black, Paper Hands. The exhibit will feature 100 cut forms of human hand gestures running the circumference of the gallery in a linear line.

Black describes his work in the spirit of the following quotation by Walt Whitman: "Simplicity is the glory of expression."
