Modern music history would be amiss if there wasn't at least a chapter in every decade about the legendary group known as CAMEO. Now, with the advent of the 21st Century, CAMEO is ready to challenge the way music is experienced on all sensory levels. From the seventies through today, CAMEO has been churning out trailblazing hits and selling upwards to ten million albums. The group's pivotal sounds have marked major turning points in music; and now, CAMEO's creator and producer, Larry Blackmon, is once again ready to change the way the world listens to music.

Larry Blackmon has been synonymous with CAMEO since the beginning of his career in the music industry, growing up in New York City, and digesting the sounds of the city streets. The kind of non-stop activity that Larry Blackmon creates has consistently propelled the across-the-board success that Blackmon and CAMEO have enjoyed for over Twenty-Nine years. Larry Blackmon made his place in the archives of urban music because he possesses a determined mind and spirit.

The presentation of the Larry Blackmon/CAMEO performance by the Tennessee State University National Alumni Association (TSUNAA) affords the association the opportunity to assist college students. This event also provides a chance and atmosphere where alums who return annually to the Tennessee State University campus can participate in this effort, reunite and experience quality entertainment in the best possible setting and atmosphere.
