Join Team Green and Nashville Tree Foundation for an annual tree planting to help make Nashville a greener place to live. This year nearly 300 powerline approved and shade trees will be planted in the flood-affected Bellevue area in collaboration with Nashville Electric Service and Cumberland River Compact's Project Blue Streams, and Impact Nashville. Learn how to plant your own trees, and join forces with Team Green to make Nashville a greener community to live in. Help us reach our 300 tree goal.

This event is open to members and non-members. Please bring your own shovel and mattocks. Tools will be available on a first come-first served basis. Eat a good breakfast. Bring snacks and hydration. Expect to finish by noon. Dress warmly in layers, as temperatures may be cool.

    ReLeafing Day
is the Nashville Tree Foundation’s fall planting held every year on the Saturday before Thanksgiving since 2002 with volunteers across the county planting trees in public spaces and private yards. In partnership with Nashville Electric Service, the Foundation has planted hundreds of powerline approved trees since 2005. ReLeafing Day evolved out of Nashville Tree Foundation’s highly successful award-winning ReLeaf Nashville project that planted 6,757 shade trees from 1998-2001 to replace some of the 20,000 felled by the tornadoes on April 16, 1998.
