Add Review/Comment
TEDxNashville will host its second annual event titled "Wonder". Distinguished leaders in technology, entertainment, design, science, art, education, government, public policy, healthcare and other areas will share their remarkable thoughts and ideas focused on creating positive changes in our society. This event builds on the highly successful 2010 program titled "Art + Science: The Future of Health".
The leadership team of TEDx Nashville is composed of successful entrepreneurs, artists, technologists, communication professionals, philanthropists and PhD's. Together they're building an event that will inspire our community to engage in innovation for social change and that will also serve as the foundation for a strong, ongoing TEDx presence in Middle Tennessee.
In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx (where x=independently organized TED event) designates a local, self-organized event that brings people together for TEDTalks: live and video speakers combined to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group.
Speakers: Ashley Judd, Andrew Keys, Ph.D., Tim Pickens, Jimmy Wayne, Roy Wooten-Futureman, Roger Cook, Jill Sobule, Nashville Speaks, Becca Stevens, Max Webster, Mel Ziegler, Jeremy Cowart, Greg Stielstra, TEDxYouth, Carol Creswell-Betsch, Ed.D., Reid C. Thompson, M.D., Singer/Songwriter Contestants, Jennifer Homans, Ph.D., Tyehimba Jess
ABOUT TED
TED is a nonprofit devoted to Ideas Worth Spreading. It started out (in 1984) as a conference bringing together people from three worlds: Technology, Entertainment, Design. Since then its scope has become ever broader. Along with the annual TED Conference in Long Beach, California, and the TEDGlobal conference in Oxford UK, TED includes the award-winning TEDTalks video site, the Open Translation Program, the new TEDx community program, this year's TEDIndia Conference and the annual TED Prize.
