The Customs House Museum boasts one of the largest model railroad layouts in the region in our Kimbrough Gallery. We invite you to interact with our exhibit, controlling the animation of action within the layouts. Make the figures and automobiles move, and helicopters fly. Be sure to visit Thomas the Tank Engine at the Island of Sodor, as well as the Hogwarts Express.

Check out the history of train travel with the museum’s historical railroad poster collection. View the numerous static displays of collectable model locomotive engines and the many types of railroad rolling stock.

Helpful Information: Children under age 14 must be accompanied by an adult at all times and in all areas of the Museum. Free parking for Museum visitors is available behind the Museum at the top of the hill off South Second Street.
