Highlighting the importance of staying informed and involved in one’s medical care, this program offers tips and information that will help patients and their families become more engaged and proactive with regards to healthcare decision-making. Discussion will focus on important questions patient’s should ask health care providers when faced with a new diagnosis or while undergoing a procedure or medical treatment; how a patient can participate in their care while hospitalized; and how to prepare for discharge from the hospital after a procedure or surgery.
