    John Pursley III will read from his first full-length collection of poems, If You Have Ghosts, winner of the Zone 3 Editor’s Prize for Poetry. Praised for his abiding meticulous technique and searching intelligence, Pursley effortlessly guides the reader through the most difficult turns in the poems to reveal hard-won truths in a shifting world. Pursley has received many awards for his poetry, including the prestigious Sarah Lawrence College Campbell Corner Poetry Prize, and is the author of three prizewinning chapbooks. He teaches writing and literature at Clemson University.

    This event takes place in the Morgan University Center, Room 303.
