Set in small-town Alabama in the 1930s, "To Kill A Mockingbird" tells the story of a young girl named Scout and her first encounters with prejudice - as she, her friend and her brother try to contact their mysterious, reclusive neighbor, Boo Radley, and as her father, Atticus, defends a black man, Tom Robinson, accused of raping a white woman in a racially-charged trial.
